Life can be hard. We all face suffering, struggle with sin, experience loss, and walk through seasons we were never meant to face alone. At Christ Church, we believe the gospel is not just the door we walk through to begin our faith — it is the ground we stand on every day, in every struggle and every season.
Our Care & Counsel groups exist because we are a church that believes in the transforming power of grace. Working together in fellowship and community, we minister God’s word as the Holy Spirit leads. Our group ministries provide a safe space to bring our real-life stories into the light of God’s word, where Christ meets us with compassion and power.
Whether you are walking through loss, struggling in your marriage, weighed down by anxiety or discouragement, or feeling stuck in patterns you can't break, there is a place for you here. These groups are for ordinary people who want to walk in humility and grace, bearing one another’s burdens as we share the hope of Christ together.
OUR CARE & COUNSEL OFFERINGS
Freedom Groups (Men & Women)
Experience Freedom for Those Feeling Stuck
Freedom Groups are a Christ-centered discipleship experience designed to help individuals find lasting freedom in Jesus. Through Scripture, participants learn how the gospel applies to everyday struggles—including sin, suffering, and life patterns. This group helps uncover deeper heart issues and leads participants toward greater intimacy with Christ and freedom from functional idols like control, comfort, or approval.
Format: 13–15 week small group experience
Healing Hearts – Gospel Hope for Deep Suffering (Women)
Healing Hearts is a grace-centered group for women who have experienced deep wounds such as abuse, trauma, grief, or unresolved pain. Through small group study and Scripture, women are gently guided to bring their stories into the light of God’s Word and experience Christ’s restoring grace.
Participants will grow in understanding how Christ sees, knows, and heals, while learning to walk in forgiveness, freedom, and renewed hope in a safe, confidential environment.
Study Options:
The Hem of His Garment (trauma and life wounds)
Binding Up the Brokenhearted (post-abortion healing) — this is offered as needed basis
Re|Engage – Marriage group
Strengthening Marriages Through Christ
Re|Engage is a Christ-centered marriage group designed to help couples reconnect, rebuild, and grow in their relationship. Whether your marriage is struggling or simply needs strengthening, re|engage offers a safe and supportive environment to pursue renewal.
Through teaching, testimonies, and small group discussion, couples learn biblical principles for communication, conflict resolution, forgiveness, and unity—all rooted in the gospel.
Format: Large group gathering + small group breakout (12–14 lessons)
GriefShare – Christ-Centered Support for Loss
GriefShare is a caring, Christ-centered support group for those grieving the loss of a loved one. Whether your loss is recent or from years past, this group offers a safe place to process grief, receive encouragement, and find hope.
Each session includes video teaching, group discussion, and personal reflection to help participants navigate emotions such as loneliness, anger, and fear while anchoring in biblical truth and hope.
Format: Weekly group with teaching + discussion + workbook
