Fresh Encounter

Ecclesiastes 3:11 says that God created you with eternity in your heart. That deep down in your soul, you know your existence is bigger than this lifetime. As Paul Tripp says, we are "hardwired for awe," but so often we live our days searching for for awe in all the wrong places: music that moves us, movies that thrill us, experiences that excite us...and so on.

But we are not just hardwired for awe. We are hardwired for awe of God. And no other source of awe will satisfy the longing in our souls and give our hearts the joy, peace, and rest that we seek. We need more than fresh experiences. We need a Fresh Encounter.

Bring your family and join us as we seek to encounter The Lord together through a time of worship and prayer.

We are so excited about what is on the horizon for Christ Church. Over the last few months, our leadership has been preparing for the arrival of the Life Action team, and for the special days we have set aside to focus on God as a church family.

Sometimes, in the hustle of life, we forget to take time for what is most important—our relationship with God and our relationships with each other. The Life Action Summit Conference will provide us a special context for exactly that, and we really want you to be a part of it from April 30 - May 7. While here, the Life Action team will lead our church to seek and respond to God.

Students Fall Retreat

Throughout scripture we see Jesus making intentional moves to withdraw, retreat, and step-back from the day to day in order to be in the presence of the Father. If we want to be a people who live powerfully for the Kingdom of God, then we need to learn to imitate the simple and steady way of life Jesus modeled. Slowing down and being with God isn't easy, we are often drawn to the fast pace of our culture. We are rarely encouraged to slow down, but when we do, we see how good it is for our souls.

Come and join us for our first ever Fall Revival. Our goal at this event is to create space for each student to slow down and be with God. We want every participant to have the ability to be refreshed and rejuvenated holistically.

Transportation will be available to and from our retreat. A packing list will be sent out in the middle of October and printed copies will be available on Sunday nights then as well. Each student will receive a themed sweatshirt, which is included in the cost for this event.

If financial assistance is needed, please promptly connect with Collin via email, Collin@mychristchurch.org
